See it.  Believe it.  Downtown Dartmouth is now home to 14 new word murals located throughout our community.  Perhaps you’ve seen the words and phrases around town and wondered, “who put these here?”  The word mural project is an initiative of the Downtown Dartmouth Business Commission.  We worked with one of our member businesses, Fathom Studios to create something that would make people feel appreciated and connected, at least in mind and spirit, while circumstances beyond anyone’s control are keeping us physically distant.  We’ve heard from so many people that the messages have brought them a smile, hope and even some inspiration in many cases.

We hope you have the opportunity to find all 14 word messages around town.  Some are quite easy to find, but others require a bit of exploration.   Look up!  Look around!  You might see something that surprises you.

If you’re inspired to capture photos of the murals, please share them with us!  #downtowndartmouth

FUN FACT:  Many people ask about the font used for the word murals.  The font is called Larken, designed by Ellen Luff.

FUN FACT:  Halifax urban artist Ghettosocks volunteered to help create this mural - on a very windy Sunday.  Follow him on Instagram to see more projects and inspiration @ghettosocks

Be kind.

Create your own sunshine.

It’s a beautiful life.

Keep your head up.

Love our earth.

Love you.

See it. Believe it.

Take care.

The beauty of everyday things.

You got this.

You’re like a melody.

What will today bring?
