PRIDE CROSSWALKS IN DOWNTOWN DARTMOUTH

PRIDE AT ALDERNEY GATE PUBLIC LIBRARY

Button making: July 20th, 10-2:45 pm: All ages welcome, all materials provided.

Pride Festival: Drag Queen Story Time: July 27th, 10:30 am – 11:30 am: Alderney Gate Library. Come celebrate Pride and join us for a fun story time filled with stories and laughs presented by drag queen Rouge Fatale.

Family Pride Dance Party: July 27th, 2-3:30pm: Alderney Gate Library. “Dancing, music, a few prize giveaways. It’s Saturday afternoon fever! All children and their parents/guardians are invited to boogie down in a safe, inclusive space with D.J., lights, family-friendly drag performers, giveaways and more.”

PRIDE AT TRAINYARD GENERAL STORE

Peace by Chocolate collaboration: “Peace by Chocolate makes a donation to Phoenix Youth for every bar sold, and we’re doubling that impact with a donation to the MacPhee Centre for every bar.”

Go Nuts for Donuts: July 21st, 12-3pm $5, materials provided, decorating donuts, all ages welcome. Funds go to NS Youth Project.

PRIDE AT THE CRAIG GALLERY

Splitt- The Art of Drag: opening reception: July 23rd from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Exhibition continues from July 24th – Aug. 10th. “Showcased will be a collection of wearable art pieces and costuming used to create the characters of (and performances by) my stage personae: “Lickity Splitt” and “Persnickety Splitt.” Each work was fashioned from fabrics and materials sourced locally as well as found objects, vintage and antique pieces, plus individually crafted artifacts specific to each work.” Hosted by Brandt Eisner and the Craig Gallery.

PRIDE AT QUEENSBERRY RULES BOXING STUDIO

Pride wall: “Fight with Pride” design on a feature wall in studio. People can write messages and doodles to add to this community message wall.

PRIDE AT REBEL FITNESS STUDIOS

Pride-themed classes: Wear your brightest clothing. Be ready for some music. All of REBEL’s classes are always fully inclusive – including these ones. Bring a buddy (on us) – email info@rstudios.co to sign them up. This is a great chance to bring a pal to try something FUN and NEW!”
